DOES ACUPUNCTURE WORK?
Both the World Health Organization and the National Institute of Health have recognized acupuncture to be effective in the treatment of a wide variety of medical problems.
IS ACUPUNCTURE SAFE? WHAT NEEDLES DO YOU USE?
Acupuncture is safe due the extensive training they receive, Only sterile, disposable, and stainless steel needles are used.
CAN ACUPUNCTURE BE COMBINED WITH WESTERN MEDICINE?
Absolutely! In medicine there is no one size fits all. I believe that integration is the future of medicine.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED AND HOW OFTEN?
Because each person and each condition is unique, I recommend that you try at least 6-10 weekly visits to allow for the cumulative effect to occur. Generally, acute conditions respond quicker while chronic conditions require a longer course of treatment. Once substantial changes have occurred people will need fewer treatments and will often book maintenance treatments as needed.
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR A TREATMENT?
Please wear comfortable loose fitting clothing so I can have easy access to acupuncture points. Avoid drinking large amounts of water 1 hour before treatment. After treatment please refrain from any strenuous activities or stressful situations.
